4 H has a rich history and an expansive network reaching every corner of the country, 4-H is the nation’s largest youth development organization. More than 6 million 4-H youth in urban neighborhoods, suburban schoolyards and rural farming communities stand out among their peers: building revolutionary opportunities and implementing community-wide change at an early age.
4-H Mission: 4-H empowers youth to reach their full potential, working and learning in partnership with caring adults.
4-H Vision: A world in which youth and adults learn, grow and work together as catalysts for positive change.
4-H’s: Head, Heart, Hands, and Health are the four Hs in 4-H, and they are the four values members work on through fun and engaging programs.
Proven Results: Youth Engaged With 4-H are:
o Nearly two times more likely to get better grades in school;
o Nearly two times more likely to plan to go to college;
o 41 percent less likely to engage in risky behaviors; and
o 25 percent more likely to positively contribute to their families and communities.
Webster-Rock Hill Ministries is now the site of a community Lending Library. Thanks to the Webster Groves School district, the Achievement Gap Committee and the Webster Groves School District Foundation our shelves are stocked with books for your children. Parents are able to select a book (or two) to take home and read with their children and when finished reading, return the book(s) and select another. This library is available to all families in the Webster Groves and Rock Hill communities, they do not have to be a WRHM client. The library is available from 9:00 AM until Noon, Monday through Friday. We are so excited to have this opportunity available to the community. Tell your friends!
